Anti-Aging Skin Care
One of the goals of anti-aging
skin care is to treat and prevent wrinkles. Most drugstore skin
care brands have anti-aging products designed to reduce and prevent
wrinkles. If you want something stronger for your skin, you can get
prescription treatments from your doctor. Two of these are Retin-A and
Renova.
Retin-A and Renova are both used to treat
wrinkles and skin damage caused by over-exposure to the sun and
genetics. Side effects can include stinging, redness, peeling, itching
and skin dryness but should clear up over time. Retin-A and Renova cause
your skin to be very sensitive to the sun so it's important to always
wear sunscreen. It's not recommended that pregnant women use either
of these skin care products.
If you want more drastic results, you
can have anti-aging skin care procedures done. Chemical peels
will remove the outer layer of skin to reveal "younger" skin
below, collagen injections will plump up the skin thereby smoothing
out wrinkles, and Botox injections paralyze facial muscles
to prevent wrinkles from forming.
The best anti-aging skin care
tips are to stay out of the sun and not to smoke.
